We are looking for hardworking, outdoor-oriented individuals to join our team for the upcoming growing season.This role is straightforward but essential:keeping our tea plants healthy and thriving by managing weed growth throughout the farm.If you enjoy working with your hands, being outdoors, and don't mind a bit of dirt, this is a great way to spend the season in a unique agricultural environment.Key Responsibilities Manual Weed Removal:Hand-pulling weeds from around the base of tea plants and within the rows to ensure maximum nutrient uptake for the crop.Field Maintenance:Identifying and removing invasive species that could compete with the tea harvest.Debris Clearing:Assisting with the removal of fallen branches or organic litter to keep the fields pristine for visitors and equipment.Plant Care:Monitoring the general health of the rows and reporting any irrigation or pest issues to the field supervisor.Requirements Physical Stamina:Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, or light rain).Attention to Detail:Ability to distinguish between tea plants and common field weeds.Reliability:Consistent attendance is crucial for staying ahead of the growing cycle.Team Spirit:Ability to work well independently or alongside a small crew.Position Details Schedule:Monday - Friday (Early morning shifts preferred to beat the heat).Duration:Seasonal (Typically March through September/October).Location:Charleston Tea Garden, Why Join Us?
