Job SummaryJoin our team as a Seasonal Maintenance Worker helping to support the Streets/ Parks/ Cemetery Departments in maintaining city grounds and public spaces during peak seasonal periods.This role includes a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks that help ensure safe, clean, and attractive environments for residents and visitors.Duties Perform grounds maintenance activities including mowing, string trimming, and sprayingClean and maintain facilities in City buildings; assist with downtown event setup and cleanupAssist with tree maintenance, trimming, and plantingSupport tasks such as road painting, cleaning catch basins, blacktopping, and cleaning department vehiclesSafely operate basic hand tools and small equipmentPerform other related duties as assigned Experience Individuals under 18 must obtain a work permit from their school district's issuing officer Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with co-workers and the public Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Preferred:Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or similar work Valid driver's license may be required depending on assigned tasks This role offers an engaging work environment where your skills will directly impact the safety and functionality of our City.We value proactive problem-solvers who are eager to learn new skills and contribute to the team and the City of Zeeland.Pay:$14.00 - $22.00 per hour Experience:outdoor work:1 year (Preferred) Language:English (Required) Work Location:In person.
