Under the supervision of the Parks Supervisor, Park Area Crew Leader, Pool Maintenance Mechanics, or Parks Caretakers, assists the full-time Parks Caretakers by working completely independently or leading a crew of other seasonal employees in performing unskilled to semi-skilled work in a variety of fields in the maintenance and upkeep of the public parks, grounds, buildings, athletic fields, pools, and related facilities. Cuts grass, maintains ball fields, maintains pools, loads and unloads dirt, gravel, trash and other debris including the collection and disposal of refuse at the park areas. Duties also may include operating vehicles and equipment in either a specific or a variety of maintenance, construction and/or utility tasks.
