OXFORD ATHLETIC CLUB JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title:Seasonal Pool Supervisor Department:Cafe Job Summary:At Oxford Athletic Club, wellness is not a destination--it's a journey, and our team plays a vital role in inspiring that journey every day.As Pittsburgh's premier destination for health, fitness, and community, we offer state-of-the-art fitness and aquatics, racquet sports, massage therapy, youth programs, and more.Recognized nationally by the Health & Fitness Association for excellence, OAC is committed to creating experiences that empower every member to move, grow, and thrive.We believe in recognizing our employees, valuing their strengths, and supporting their growth at every stage of their career.The Seasonal Pool Supervisor is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience throughout the outdoor pool complex at Oxford Athletic Club.This role focuses on supervising poolside service staff, maintaining a welcoming and organized environment, and ensuring members and guests receive outstanding hospitality throughout the summer season.The Pool Supervisor serves as a visible and approachable leader who supports daily operations, member engagement, and overall poolside experience.This position does not oversee lifeguard operations or pool maintenance functions.Job Relationships:Reports to:Director of Operations Status:Hourly/non exempt Key Responsibilities Supervise and support seasonal pool servers and poolside service staff Ensure a high level of member hospitality and engagement throughout the pool area Monitor and support the overall member experience, ensuring prompt and attentive service at all times Pay close attention to food delivery wait times and proactively communicate with staff to improve service efficiency Communicate consistently with the kitchen team, including chefs, runners, and servers, to ensure a seamless and positive member dining experience Assist in creating a fun, welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere for members and guests Monitor pool deck organization, cleanliness, and presentation standards Support daily operational flow, including staff assignments and shift coordination Address member questions, concerns, and service needs in a professional and timely manner Reinforce Oxford Athletic Club service standards and professionalism among seasonal staff Assist with poolside events, activities, and member engagement initiatives Communicate operational updates, staffing concerns, and member feedback to leadership Help maintain organization of towels, seating areas, and service stations Ensure all staff are providing attentive, proactive, and friendly service throughout operating hours Support opening and closing operational procedures for the pool area Qualifications Previous customer service, hospitality, or supervisory experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Friendly, outgoing, and hospitality-focused personality Ability to remain organized and professional in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities Ability to multitask and maintain strong attention to detail Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the pool complex Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally Ability to work outdoors in summer conditions Schedule This is a seasonal position requiring availability throughout the summer season, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.Must work minimum of 30 hours a week.Compensation & Benefits Competitive seasonal pay Complimentary club membership during employment Employee discounts on club programs and services Energetic, team-oriented work environment Pay:$18-$20/hour depending on experience.Bonus if stay from Memorial Day to Labor Day.FLSA Classification:Non exempt Indicate exempt or non-exempt Pay:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
