Job Description
Rocky Mountain Paddleboard | Georgetown Lake May–September | Full-time/Part-time | $17/hr + Tips About the Role: The Rental Crew is RMP’s heart and soul. You are the primary point of contact for our guests and wield the most influence over their experience with us. We are seeking passionate, kind, and hardworking individuals who are ready to share the S.T.O.K.E. on the water every single day. If you thrive in a fast-paced, physical, and people-first environment, we want to hear from you. Share the S.T.O.K.E. with Us. At Rocky Mountain Paddleboard, our values aren't just words—they are our daily practice. As a member of the Rental Crew, you will live them out in every interaction. S is for Safety Be the first and most important factor in maintaining guest safety. You will ensure all RMP and Reservoir safety protocols are followed without exception. Expertly fit every guest with a life jacket (PFD), clearly convey paddling and safety protocols to groups of up to 20 people, and participate in ongoing safety training. You are comfortable being the on-water authority, communicating rules with clarity and confidence so every guest feels cared for and prepared. T is for Thrive You are the curator of excitement. You will greet every guest with genuine enthusiasm and set the tone for an unforgettable adventure. Your organizational and multitasking skills will be put to the test as you manage boards, kayaks, reservations, and timing—all while keeping the energy positive and seamless. You don't just process transactions; you create moments that build confidence and strengthen connections. O is for "On it!" You are the master of the operation. You will handle the daily setup and breakdown of the location, ensuring every board, paddle, and PFD is clean, organized, and guest-ready. You will competently operate our reservations and point-of-sale system using a tablet, all while managing the "moving parts" of a busy rental hub. You take pride in the details, because you know a seamless experience starts with excellence behind the scenes. You show up to work ready to tackle the challenges the day present by anticipating problems and creating solutions. K is for Kindness You are the reason guests feel seen, supported, and stoked to be here. You operate with patience, inclusion, and genuine care in every interaction. You will guide nervous first-timers, welcome guests of all abilities and backgrounds, and treat every person who walks up to the rental counter like an old friend. You understand that the water is for everyone, and you actively help create that welcoming space. E is for Environmental Stewardship You are an ambassador for the outdoors. You will not only fit guests for gear but also inspire them to respect the natural environment they are about to enjoy. You will actively participate in keeping our shoreline and waterways clean and healthy, role modeling responsible practices for our guests and community. Physical Requirements: This job is intensely physical. You must be able to lift 45+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day, including loading and unloading boards from overhead racks, carrying life jackets, and assisting guests in and out of water craft. You must be able to stand for 4-6 hours at a time, actively organizing gear and assisting guests in a dynamic outdoor environment. You must be able to work outdoors in all conditions—rain or shine—without air conditioning. Other Requirements: You must be able to work at least two full shifts per week (shifts are typically 8-10 hours). You must have reliable transportation. You must possess a valid CPR/First Aid certification before you begin work. Compensation & Perks: Competitive hourly wage (based on experience). The ultimate perk: Free RMP paddleboard rentals on your days off to go share the S.T.O.K.E. with your own friends and family. Employee discounts on retail gear. The chance to be part of a fun, tight-knit team that values purpose as much as profit.
