Role Description The Secondary Assistant Principal will play a key leadership role in creating a positive educational environment that fosters high academic achievement and personal growth for both students and staff. Responsibilities include supporting teachers through coaching and professional development, implementing academic programs, monitoring student outcomes, and ensuring a safe and inclusive school culture. The Assistant Principal will also collaborate with the Principal to address student discipline concerns, engage families, and promote school-wide initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Manor, TX, requiring a strong commitment to the mission and values of Compass Rose Public Schools. Qualifications Educational Leadership: Demonstrated ability in teacher coaching, staff development, and overseeing academic program implementation. Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in analyzing student performance data and applying findings to improve instructional practices and student outcomes. Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to foster relationships with staff, students, families, and community stakeholders. School Operations: Experience in developing and enforcing school policies, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and managing daily school operations effectively. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strategic thinking and solutions-oriented approach to addressing challenges related to student achievement and school culture. Commitment to Equity: A passion for closing the opportunity gap and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Educational Background: Master’s degree in Education or a related field, and relevant administrative certification (preferred). Professional Experience: Previous experience as a school leader or in a leadership capacity within a school setting is highly desirable. Other Qualifications: Bilingual proficiency is considered an asset but not required.
