Job Description
Security Manager – Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, Florida Fins up! Margaritaville Resort Fort Myers Beach is seeking applications from seasoned professionals for the exciting role of Security Manager. Nestled in the heart of Southwest Florida’s vibrant landscape, Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach, under the proud operation and ownership of TPI Hospitality, offers not just a job but an opportunity for unparalleled personal and professional growth. Position Overview: The Security Manager Manages the daily functions of the department to maintain protection of property assets, associates, owners/guests, and property. Maintains logs, certifications and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures. Trains staff on established emergency procedures and implement accident and fire prevention procedures. Focuses on maintaining owners/guests and associate satisfaction while achieving the operating budget. What You’ll Do: Oversee all security and loss prevention operations to protect guests, team members, and resort assets. Conduct regular hazard and risk assessments, including OSHA and safety audits, to proactively identify and address vulnerabilities. Partner with the Director of Engineering on fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness initiatives. Respond swiftly to unusual activities or emergency situations, coordinating efforts to ensure safety and minimize disruption. Implement action plans for risk control, incident mitigation, and loss prevention. Lead investigations for all guest and team member incidents involving injuries, theft, or security breaches Develop and enforce shutdown procedures, key control guidelines, and property access protocols to maintain security standards. Ensure resort-wide compliance with all safety laws and regulations. Monitor and maintain security equipment, including CCTV systems, alarmed doors, and duress alarms through monthly inspections and checklists. Ensure patrol coverage meets resort needs and supports a secure and welcoming guest environment. Deliver regular training programs to enhance the knowledge, response skills, and professionalism of all security team members. Promote safety awareness across departments through ongoing communication and support. Maintain open collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency services to build strong external response relationships. Provide clear direction, mentorship, and support to the security and loss prevention team. Set performance standards and identify individual training needs to support growth and accountability. Foster a culture of assertive hospitality, safety, and guest-first service within the department. Oversee the accuracy and completeness of all incident and injury reports submitted by team members. Maintain safety and security documentation, audit logs, and system checklists in accordance with property and regulatory requirements. Serve as Chair or Co-Chair of the resort Safety Committee, leading initiatives that support overall resort safety goals. Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support security operations and the leadership team. What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED. 4+ years’ experience in the hotel/resort security or related professional area. Prior management experience. Strong Leadership skills Strong written communication, attention to detail, and a calm, confident presence Ability to work in the Florida outdoor elements Valid Driver’s License.
