Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment for our property, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring premises, preventing unauthorized access, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. The Security Guard will play a critical role in loss prevention and ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee property and detect potential security breaches. Enforce access control policies by verifying identification and issuing visitor badges. Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR if certified. Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities and observations. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions. Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action. Maintain security equipment and ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently. Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred. Certifications such as CPR, first aid, or surveillance training are advantageous. Strong knowledge of CCTV operation, conflict management, and loss prevention techniques. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to write clear incident reports. Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe environment at all times.
