JOB SUMMARY The Security Officer primary function is to provide a friendly and safe environment for our guests and team members while protecting the company assets and maintaining a safe and secured entertainment atmosphere. Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, creates positive energy with gestures and sustains enthusiasm from one interaction to the next. Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates guest’s wins. Checks for satisfaction and effectively resolves service breakdowns when they exist. Responsible for maintaining security protection on property, including money transactions, service and performing command center/dispatch functions, when necessary Checks for valid identification to ensure all guests are at least 21 years of age. Handles all monetary transactions between gaming operations in compliance with regulations and as required by property management. Ready to offer service and has knowledge of daily property information to assist guests and builds relationships by initiating a warm, friendly verbal greeting. Patrols assigned areas while providing guest assistance, being alert for suspicious circumstances or individuals, gaming violations, possible theft, safety hazards or related concerns, medical emergencies, or damage to Caesars Entertainment properties. Observes and reports disruptive or intoxicated guests. Responds to security concerns in a prompt and efficient manner. Provides medical attention in emergency situations to guests. Ability to communicate over dispatch radio effectively and professionally. Maintains an upbeat and positive demeanor in all interactions as well as maintaining composure in handling difficult interactions. Complies with Louisiana Gaming Commission Regulations and company regulations, policies, and procedures. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to the Company and encourages others to do the same. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Maintains a well-groomed appearance which reflects the professional appearance and demeanor of the Security Department. Meets the required attendance guidelines for the job and adhere to all company and department policies and procedures. Must be at least 21 years of age to work in a casino. High School diploma, GED, or comparable experience preferred. 1 year of Security experience preferred. Good oral and written communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customers; must read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to maintain extremely confidential information. General familiarity with investigative procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending on identified needs of the company. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to obtain or possess a Louisiana Gaming License A FEW MORE THINGS: Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to compose clear, accurate, and concise reports. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues. Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and stack.
