Raven Security is looking for an unarmed Security Officer for day shifts.Shifts are 11 AM-7 PM in Vail, CO.Pay is $27.50 an hour.Work attire is black suit/tie/shoes and white shirt.Company provides the suit jacket and Officer is responsible for providing their own white shirt, black tie, black slacks and black shoes.The applicant will provide professional safety and security services to facilities and personnel.Upholds and enforces local and state laws pertaining to security.Patrols buildings and property for fire, safety and security violations on foot or by motor vehicle.Reports and investigates incidents which occur on the property.Conducts searches of buildings and individuals; performs self-defense and arrest control techniques as needed.Performs entry control and ensures that buildings are secured and locked.Monitors, sets, and responds to burglar and fire alarm systems.Monitors and controls vehicle traffic at facilities.Writes accurate, detailed reports.Logs security information, including calls for service and other required information; maintains accurate logs and related documents.Provides protection for clientele and other related activities.Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent education required.Must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment.Must pass conditional post-offer drug screen, background investigation, employment and educational verification, and motor vehicle check.Must provide a DD214 Member 4 copy if prior military.Licenses/Certificates:Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License.CPR and First Aid training preferred.City of Vail Security Officer License.Benefits Advancement Opportunity Advanced training by Certified Instructors Daily Pay Doctor on Demand Full Benefits (Medical, Dental, etc) Paid Time Off Paid Sick Leave Employee Discount Program 401k Matching RxCut Pharmacy Discount Program Work-Life Balance Programs (Flextime, Compressed Workweek & Telecommuting) Work Conditions:Work is performed on foot and/or in a motor vehicle; may be exposed to inclement weather.Must be able to stand, climb, walk, run, bend and jump for extended periods of time.Job Essential Tasks:Prepare (read/write/edit) reports and post orders using appropriate grammar.Exercise independent judgment.Communicate effectively and coherently over radio channels while initiating and responding to radio communications.Gather information in investigations by interviewing and obtaining the statements of victims, witnesses, suspects, and confidential informers.Engage in patrol functions that include such things as working rotating/varying shifts, walking on foot patrol and physically checking the doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are secure.Working solo and as part of a team.Endure verbal and mental abuse when confronted with the hostile views and opinions of suspects and other people encountered in an antagonistic environment.Adapt mentally, physically, and emotionally to high-stress environments and austere conditions.Extinguish small fires by using a fire extinguisher and other appropriate means.Pay:$27.50 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance Education:High school or equivalent (Required) Language:English (Required) License/Certification:City of Vail Security Officer License (Preferred) Shift availability:Day Shift (Required) Night Shift (Required) Work Location:In person.
