Job Description
Security Shift Manager The Security Shift Manager oversees daily safety, security, and asset protection during their shift. They manage security personnel, enforce gaming regulations and property policies, handle emergency responses, and manage investigations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff, often working flexible hours including weekends. Responsibilities Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures. Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees. Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service. Responsible for scheduling, training and supervising security staff, and assuring that all designated posts are adequately staffed. Responsible for all activities of the security division during his/her shift and the safety and security of guests, employees and assets of the company. Responsible for the physical security of the hotel/casino complex, on-site and satellite parking, and the marina facility. Acts as a compliance officer for the security division during hours the casino is open and for the entire facility during casino down time. Responds to all significant incidents within the hotel/casino complex and oversees all security activities relating to the incident. Ensures all reports, activity logs, summary sheets, and necessary paperwork are completed in a thorough and accurate manner. Maintains personnel records for each Specialist, and Security Officer assigned to his/her shift. Handles all disciplinary action of all Specialists and Officers assigned to his/her shift.
