Summary West Palm Cowboy Club, opening soon on Clematis Street, is hiring Security Team Members to join our opening team. This role is ideal for confident, observant individuals who thrive in fast-paced nightlife environments and know how to balance guest experience with firm, professional enforcement of house policies. Security at WPCC plays a critical role in maintaining safety, managing crowds, supporting staff, and ensuring that all guests enjoy a fun, respectful, and secure atmosphere—especially during peak hours and late-night service. Experience in nightlife, bar, club, or event security is strongly preferred, along with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Responsibilities Maintain a visible security presence to ensure guest, staff, and property safety at all times. Monitor entrances, exits, bar areas, patio areas, and high-traffic zones throughout service. Check IDs and verify age compliance in accordance with Florida law and WPCC policies. Enforce house rules related to conduct, intoxication levels, dress code, and entry policies. Identify and de-escalate potential conflicts or disturbances quickly and professionally. Assist with crowd control during peak hours, live music, events, and closing procedures. Work closely with management, bartenders, and floor staff to address issues discreetly and efficiently. Respond appropriately to incidents involving intoxication, refusal of service, or removal of guests when necessary. Maintain clear communication via radio or verbal check-ins with the security and management team. Complete closing security walkthroughs and assist with end-of-night guest exits. Guest Experience & Safety Security team members are ambassadors of the WPCC experience. This includes: Creating a welcoming but controlled environment for all guests. Using calm, respectful communication—even when enforcing rules. Acting decisively to prevent situations from escalating. Supporting staff so service can run smoothly and safely. Requirements Previous security experience in bars, nightclubs, events, or high-volume venues preferred. Strong situational awareness and ability to read guest behavior. Ability to remain calm, professional, and assertive in high-pressure situations. Physically capable of standing for long periods and intervening when necessary. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable transportation and availability, including weekends, holidays, and late nights. Must meet all legal requirements for security or ID-checking roles in Florida.
