Founding Technical Collaborator / Creative Developer for Innovative Music Education Platform Part-Time • Contract NYC Preferred (Remote Possible) $30–$50/hr (pilot-stage flexible structure) I am a NYC-based pianist, educator, and music program director with nearly 15 years of experience in music education, piano instruction, curriculum development, choir direction, and musical theater production. My background includes multiple degrees in music performance and music education, and throughout my career I have built and elevated numerous arts and music programs within schools and educational institutions. From developing music theory curricula and choral programs to designing full musical theater experiences and institution-specific arts initiatives, my work has always centered around creating engaging, meaningful, and high-level artistic education tailored to each community’s needs. I am currently developing an ambitious and highly creative digital music education platform designed for: schools and classrooms individual learners music students of all ages teachers and institutions The vision is to transform the way music theory and musicianship are taught through interactive learning, visual exercises, educational games, elegant design, and modern technology. This is not intended to feel like a traditional textbook or rigid educational platform. The goal is to create a visually compelling and genuinely enjoyable learning experience that combines: strong pedagogy beautiful aesthetics interactivity and creativity gamified learning classroom integration long-term scalability for schools and educational programs I envision this beginning as a small founding team of three: myself as curriculum architect, educational director, and creative visionary a Founding Technical Collaborator / Creative Developer a UI/UX Designer with strong aesthetic and product sensibility I am currently looking for a technically skilled and creatively minded collaborator who can help bring this vision to life and contribute ideas regarding: educational platform development app/web architecture interactive exercises and visual game concepts scalable technology solutions for schools and individual users overall technical direction of the product Ideal Background: experience building modern web/apps/platforms React / Next.js / TypeScript experience preferred interest in educational technology, gaming, arts, music, or creative tools startup or MVP-building mindset portfolio of previous projects or platforms NYC-based strongly preferred, though remote collaboration is possible This position begins in a pilot-stage collaborative format.
