Senior Account Executive / Account Supervisor Real Estate and Property Innovation Job Description Marino is seeking a communications professional with 3-5 years' experience to fill the role of Senior Account Executive or Account Supervisor to work within our Real Estate and Property Innovation team. This role is ideal for a strong media relations and client-service professional with experience supporting real estate, placemaking, urban development, architecture/design, proptech, economic development, housing, hospitality, retail, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, polished writer and proactive account lead who can help translate complex projects, transactions, developments and market trends into compelling stories for business, real estate, trade and consumer audiences. # Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple real estate and property innovation accounts, acting as a primary client contact and staying on top of client deliverables, timelines and priorities. Manage junior team members on accounts and monitor their day-to-day activities, including media clipping, reporter research, client reporting, media list development and the circulation of account updates. This also includes assisting senior team members in the development of junior staff goals and consistently checking in with them on progress. Assist in the development, execution and presentation of client reports under the direction of account leaders, ensuring reports clearly connect media relations, thought leadership and communications activity to client goals and KPIs. Lead client meetings, brainstorms and internal planning sessions as appropriate and as directed by supervisors. Proactively conceptualize and execute creative media pitches and communications tactics for clients across the real estate and property innovation landscape. This includes identifying fresh storylines around development milestones, market trends, neighborhood growth, design, leasing, investment, sustainability, technology, amenities, public-private partnerships and the future of the built environment, even when clients have no immediate hard news or announcements. Consistently drive high-level pitch strategies that result in meaningful media opportunities, including executive profiles, feature stories, transaction and development coverage, trend pieces, panel opportunities, awards, rankings and media interviews. Maintain and continue to build a strong network of reporter contacts across real estate, business, architecture/design, urban affairs, technology, trade, local and national media outlets; cultivate these relationships through routine pitching, meetings and ongoing interaction. Assist senior team members with the creation of client strategies, campaign plans and PR programs for developers, owners, brokers, architects, designers, proptech companies, economic development organizations and other clients shaping the built environment. Following the finalization of these plans, help oversee execution across the account team. Demonstrate strong understanding of the news cycle and current events relevant to clients, their competitors and the broader real estate and property innovation sectors. Use this knowledge to identify opportunities to insert clients into timely conversations around market conditions, housing, commercial real estate, office trends, retail, mixed-use development, urban planning, sustainability, technology, investment and neighborhood change. Proactively circulate relevant news clips, competitor updates, market stories and industry trends to clients and internal team members on a regular basis. As needed, drive media relations efforts surrounding client events, launches, openings, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, panels, property tours, announcements and other activations. This includes overseeing media invite lists, advisories, press releases, media check-ins on-site, client interview coordination and post-event follow-up. Develop strategic, well-crafted and polished written content for clients with minimal direction. This content includes, but is not limited to, press releases, media advisories, pitches, op-eds, bylines, talking points, executive bios, messaging documents, award submissions, social media content and client briefing materials. Demonstrate the ability to proactively develop written content in the absence of hard news, major announcements or transactions, identifying opportunities to leverage executive perspectives, market trends, data, neighborhood stories and industry insights. Review and offer thoughtful guidance to junior team members on written materials they have drafted or worked on, ensuring that content is as close to final as possible before being reviewed by senior t
