Senior Accountant

Our client is an electrical contracting company. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their Long Island City, NY office. Responsibilities Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, allocations, taxes, accruals, and account reconciliations Maintain general ledger integrity and resolve discrepancies Develop variance analyses for key accounts to support FP&A and leadership in financial reporting insights Support annual external audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and providing required documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records Improve processes and drive efficiency gains across areas of responsibility Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements for joint venture entities in accordance with GAAP Execute ad-hoc projects as needed, including tax compliance initiatives and system implementations Requirements 2-4 years of corporate accounting experience Public, private, or combo Construction or similar industry experience preferred Excellent communication skills Detail-oriented and highly analytical CPA is a plus Job ID # 47874 Tagged as: Hybrid Remote/Office
