Senior Accountant – Growing Manufacturing Organization A well-established and growing manufacturing organization located in Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. Responsibilities The Senior Accountant will support a broad range of accounting and financial responsibilities including: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals Support inventory accounting, manufacturing cost analysis, and variance reporting Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational financial reporting Analyze financial results and provide insight to accounting and operations leadership Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting procedures Collaborate cross-functionally with plant operations, supply chain, and management teams Assist with audit preparation and year-end reporting requirements Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies Support ERP reporting and ongoing system enhancements Qualifications Successful candidates for the Senior Accountant role will typically possess: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience within manufacturing or distribution environments Strong understanding of financial reporting and month-end close processes Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, or standard costing methodologies Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience The organization is particularly interested in a Senior Accountant with experience in: Manufacturing operations and inventory-heavy environments Cost accounting and operational analysis ERP system improvements or implementations Multi-division or diversified manufacturing organizations Continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives Why Consider This Opportunity?
