This position offers a unique opportunity to work across a growing portfolio of operating companies spanning construction, manufacturing, design-build, and specialty contracting industries. Our organization has completed multiple acquisitions and launched several new operating entities in recent years, creating an environment where accounting professionals gain broad operational exposure and meaningful influence across the business. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure across multiple operating entities Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting packages Assist the Controller with daily and monthly accounting responsibilities Support budgeting and forecasting activities across multiple businesses Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to support department goals and company initiatives Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and operational efficiency Respond to financial reporting requests from executive leadership and operational managers Assist with year-end audit preparation and external audit coordination Support implementation of new accounting procedures, systems, and process improvements Provide support and training to accounting staff as needed Participate in special projects related to acquisitions, integrations, start-ups, and operational scaling initiatives Manage insurance renewals and claims administration Manage third-party compliance administration and subcontractor prequalification activities Assist with sales tax research, filings, audits, and exemption management Monitor regulatory changes and support organizational compliance initiatives Qualifications Minimum 5 years of accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field Strong general ledger and financial reporting experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with ERP systems preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy Opportunity begins with dialogue If this sounds like it might be an exciting next step for your career, then please send us your resume and let’s have a conversation about it!
