Work Shift Day (United States of America) Job Summary: This position reports directly to the Manager of Technical Accounting. Key responsibilities of the role include preparing, analyzing, researching and adjusting financial statements as part of the month-end close process for management presentation. Creates relevant workpapers, schedules and reconciliations. Reviews and comprehends financial indicators and results of operations and variances from budget and historical results. Assists with researching technical accounting and financial reporting issues as well as ad hoc financial analysis and projects. Coordinates with local accounting teams regarding financial transactions and resolution of unusual balances or variances. Requires a Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: 1.Performs general accounting functions/processesa.Responsible for executing assigned month end close process responsibilities of Wellstar Health Systems financial statementsb.Prepares journal entries and maintains document analysis and supportc.Assists with the application of GAAP to new transactions, where applicabled.Maintains appropriate procedure documentation and adheres to Wellstar policies and procedurese.Ensure that all month-end close and compliance timelines are metf.Performs balance sheet and income statement analyses and reconciliationsg.Identify process improvement initiatives for
