Senior Accounting & Payroll Specialist Job description JBGoodwin Realtors is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join our team. The candidate needs to be a detail-orientated, quick learner and tech-savvy accounting professional who thrives in a fast paced environment. Applicants should be self starters, problem solvers who take ownership and deliver high quality work as well as have the “get it done” frame of mind. Job responsibilities include the following but are not limited to: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations Supervise and guide accounting staff - in office and remote personnel Daily Banking activities - monitor all daily transactions Ability to clearly explain financial data/concepts to non-financial team members Support Bank Reconcilliations Process Payroll - ADP Experience a plus Support Year End Close Support preparation of 1099s Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable In office audits and reconciliations Support Controller Running FInancials Recommend, Create, and implement improvements to our accounting systems, processes and controls Scanning and organizing documents Processing Agent's commissions Invoicing & Disbursements Maintain files thoroughly and accurately Data entry - with great attention to detail and accuracy Processing incoming and outgoing mail Spreadsheet management Accounting Help Desk ticketing system (ZenDesk) Various Reports Various Projects as assigned The ideal candidate will possess the following: Advanced Accounting knowledge - A/P, A/R, G/L, Payroll, etc. Accounting Degree preferred - but equivalent experience is welcomed Strong problem solving skills Ability to research and resolve problems effectively and efficiently High attention to detail Ability to heavily mulit-task Excel & Word and/or Google Sheets and Google Docs - 5 years experience preferred Enjoy working in a fast paced team environment. Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively on multiple levels - Written, verbal and nonverbal communication Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality Ability to work independently and within a group environment This position includes a base salary plus discretionary bonuses.
