Description About the Role Texas Research International (TRI) is seeking an experienced Senior Acumatica Systems Administrator & AI Solutions Analyst to join our Corporate IT team at our beautiful hill-country campus in West Austin. In this role, you aren’t just a developer—you are the primary bridge between our technology and our business. You will own and extend the Acumatica ERP platform across 13 employee-owned subsidiaries, translating the complex needs of scientists, engineers, and finance teams into streamlined system solutions. Key Responsibilities System Ownership: Lead the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Acumatica ERP for financials, project accounting, and multi-entity operations. User Support & Process Design: Work directly with business users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide hands-on support. Data & Analytics: Own the data layer. Design SQL queries, dashboards, and advanced reports to provide actionable business insights. Integrations: Design and manage APIs connecting Acumatica to lab systems (LIMS) and other internal/external tools. AI Initiatives: Lead practical AI and automation projects (using Python) to improve R&D and testing workflows. Mentorship & Leadership: Take full ownership of projects, proactively identifying improvements and mentoring junior team members. Requirements: Qualifications Strong ERP Experience: 4–8+ years working with mid-sized, multi-entity, or project-based ERP systems. Acumatica Exposure: Hands-on experience with Acumatica is strongly preferred (experience with NetSuite, Dynamics 365, or Sage Intacct will also be considered). Business Acumen: Solid understanding of accounting and finance concepts (AP, AR, GL, project costing). User-Centric Approach: Proven ability to work directly with business users to understand pain points and deliver functional solutions. Integrations & APIs: Practical experience connecting systems via REST/SOAP APIs and managing data flow. Data Background: Robust experience with SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and business reporting tools. Ownership Mindset: A proactive, self-driven personality who takes responsibility for the health and evolution of the system. Education & Bonus Skills Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Accounting, or a related field. Familiarity with Python for data pipelines or AI/ML applications is a significant plus. Experience in scientific, laboratory, or government-contracting environments. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $135,000 – $175,000. Performance Bonus: 10–15% annually. Benefits: Full package including health, 401k, and generous PTO.
