Job Description
Company Description TBP Auto is a vertically integrated automotive components group based in northern Vietnam, specializing in grey-iron brake drums and axle components for medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. The group operates a foundry in northern Vietnam with a current capacity of 200,000+ brake drums per year, exported primarily to the United States. TBP Auto is now developing a 70-hectare greenfield manufacturing campus, anchored by an expanded foundry and adding machining, assembly, and complete axle component production for commercial vehicles. Role Description This is a Senior Advisor role responsible for the design and development of a greenfield automotive components manufacturing campus in northern Vietnam. The Senior Advisor will provide strategic and technical guidance on the campus master plan from concept through commissioning — covering integrated foundry, machining, assembly, QA, and logistics zones designed to IATF 16949 standards from day one. Phase 1 is a 4–6 month advisory engagement with defined deliverables: campus master plan and zone allocation; process and material flow design across the full value chain; utilities master specification; phase 1 capex framework and equipment selection brief; engineering firm selection and management; and IATF 16949 facility requirements integrated into design. This is a remote contract role. The Senior Advisor can be based in the United States or globally, with travel to Vietnam for site reviews, contractor meetings, and milestone checkpoints. Qualifications 15+ years in automotive components manufacturing, with senior leadership of at least one greenfield plant or campus build Direct foundry experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of integrated foundry, machining, and assembly operations for commercial vehicle components IATF 16949 facility design and audit readiness experience Track record managing engineering firms and EPC contractors through detailed design and construction Equipment specification and capex management for industrial builds of $20M or more Strong analytical, planning, and contractor management skills Willingness to travel internationally
