Who you are 5+ years of experience in an Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analyst role, ideally with meaningful exposure to Finance or Accounting stakeholders Expert SQL and strong experience building production-grade data models and pipelines Hands-on experience modeling data from ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or similar, and strong familiarity with financial concepts like GL, revenue recognition, COGS, and margin Experience with BI and modeling tools such as Looker and Omni, and the ability to design semantic layers that scale with stakeholder needs Excellent communication skills and a track record of translating ambiguous Finance requirements into technical solutions Experience with dbt and Snowflake, and enthusiasm for working with AI-powered development tools, is a strong plus An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes What the job involves Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager, the Senior Analytics Engineer (Finance) will be the dedicated data partner for Checkr's Finance organization, owning the models, pipelines, and governance that power how we measure and forecast the business You will build and maintain the trusted data layer for ledgers, revenue reconciliation, COGS and margin analysis, and forecast model inputs — turning raw ERP and operational data into decision-ready assets.
