This position serves as a subject matter expert in Epic's Cogito and Cosmos platforms, partnering with researchers, clinicians, informaticists, and operational leaders to enable cohort discovery, real-world evidence generation, and system-wide performance improvement. The analyst will play a key role in bridging data architecture and end-user analytics, ensuring that complex clinical data is accessible, accurate, and actionable. The Senior Application Analyst, Epic Cosmos, Clarity & Caboodle is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of Epic's enterprise data and analytics solutions to support clinical research, operational analytics, and Learning Health System initiatives. This role focuses on building and maintaining Cosmos data models and datamarts, enhancing SlicerDicer functionality, and leveraging Clarity and Caboodle to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain Epic Cosmos datamarts and datasets to support research, benchmarking, and multi-institutional analytics Configure and optimize SlicerDicer data models and filters to enable advanced self-service analytics and cohort exploration Develop and support data solutions using Epic Caboodle and Clarity, including data modeling, ETL logic, and curated datasets Collaborate with researchers and clinical stakeholders to translate analytic and research requirements into scalable data structures Support cohort discovery, feasibility analysis, and real-world evidence studies using Epic and Cosmos tools Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across Cosmos, Caboodle, and Clarity environments Analyze and troubleshoot complex data issues, including data lineage, mapping discrepancies, and transformation logic Partner with Epic teams and external collaborators to support Cosmos data submissions, validation, and governance processes Develop and maintain reporting and visualization solutions using SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, SQL, and BI tools Support integration of Epic data with external research platforms, registries, and enterprise data environments Collaborate with data governance, compliance, and IRB teams to ensure appropriate use of clinical and research data Contribute to Learning Health System initiatives by enabling feedback loops between analytics, research, and clinical operations Document data models, build specifications, and analytic logic to support transparency and reproducibility Stay current with Epic enhancements related to Cosmos, Cogito, Caboodle, and Clarity Required: Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, Information Systems, or related field. 5+ years of experience supporting Epic Cogito tools, including Clarity and Caboodle Experience in a healthcare or academic medical center environment Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex relational datasets Demonstrated experience translating clinical, operational, or research requirements into data solutions Preferred: Experience with Epic Cosmos, including datamart development and data submission processes Experience configuring or supporting SlicerDicer Familiarity with Learning Health System frameworks and real-world data research Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Epic certifications in
