About the Firm We are a well-established law firm licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin, offering personalized legal services in real estate, estate planning and probate, corporate, and personal injury matters. We are supported by a team of four experienced full-time paralegals and are entering an exciting phase of growth. The Opportunity This is a rare opportunity to join a thriving small firm with an established client base, immediate substantive responsibility, and genuine mentorship from a senior attorney with 29+ years of experience. Responsibilities Handle real estate transactions from contract to closing Draft and review estate planning documents including wills, revocable living trusts, and presentations at estate planning seminars Manage probate and trust administration matters from opening through final distribution Support personal injury files during an initial onboarding period, with increasing PI file responsibility as competence and judgment are demonstrated over time Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, lenders, and courts Maintain accurate and timely case notes, billing records, and file documentation Work collaboratively with paralegal staff and delegate appropriate tasks Attend closings, court hearings, depositions, and client meetings as required Qualifications J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Active license to practice law in Illinois (Wisconsin license preferred or willingness to obtain) Experience preferred; new admittees with strong academic background and clerkship/internship experience will be considered Experience in real estate, estate planning, or litigation preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously with attention to deadlines High degree of professionalism, client empathy, and ethical judgment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with Smokeball and AI systems is a plus What We Offer Competitive base salary commensurate with experience Performance-based bonus opportunity Paid time off and paid holidays SIMPLE IRA plan and matching Professional development support including CLE and State Bar reimbursement Mentorship from a senior attorney with 29+ years across multiple practice areas Collaborative, professional work environment with an experienced paralegal team Opportunity for long-term growth and increased firm responsibility To Apply Please submit the following to donjr@stinespring.com : Cover letter explaining your interest in this role and salary expectations Current resume Writing sample (5–10 pages preferred; legal memorandum, brief, or client letter) Law school transcript (unofficial acceptable for initial application) Pay: $100,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
