This role is designed for an attorney who is comfortable independently handling litigation matters from intake through trial, including hearings, conferences, motion practice, negotiations, and courtroom appearances. Responsibilities: Manage a 60–75 case matrimonial and family law caseload Handle divorce, custody, support, and post-judgment matters Conduct hearings, conferences, and trials Appear in Supreme Court and Family Court throughout NYC Draft pleadings, motions, Statements of Net Worth, and conference orders Conduct discovery and subpoena financial/employment records Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel Develop litigation and settlement strategy Qualifications: Active New York State Bar admission required Minimum 5 years of matrimonial/family law litigation experience Strong courtroom and motion practice experience Experience handling hearings and trials preferred Strong legal writing, negotiation, and organizational skills Ability to independently manage deadlines and client communication Spanish-speaking is a plus Compensation & Benefits: Base salary: $140,000 – $180,000 DOE Hybrid / primarily remote schedule Medical benefits Retirement plan Paid holidays and PTO CLEs, bar dues, and professional memberships covered Home office and technology stipends About New York Family Law Group New York Family Law Group represents clients in divorce, custody, and support proceedings throughout New York City.
