We are seeking a motivated and confident Senior BIM Engineer responsible for serving as a technical lead responsible for advanced electrical modeling, coordination leadership, and constructability integration. This role bridges engineering, BIM/VDC, and field execution while mentoring junior BIM staff and driving modeling quality, efficiency, and standardization across projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead electrical modeling and coordination efforts for large-scale plan/specification, design-assist, and design-build projects. Develop and coordinate advanced electrical systems including one-line diagrams, distribution layouts, equipment placement, lighting systems, and controls. Drive clash-free model integration across multiple trades using Navisworks and coordination platforms. Lead constructability reviews by proactively identifying installation risks, sequencing conflicts, access constraints, and productivity challenges. Collaborate with field leadership and prefabrication teams to integrate modularization and labor-efficiency strategies into model development. Support value engineering initiatives by developing cost-effective technical solutions aligned with project performance requirements. Mentor BIM Engineers and Designers by providing technical guidance, training, and quality oversight. Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to align BIM deliverables with schedules, procurement strategies, and execution plans. Participate in client-facing coordination meetings and design review sessions. Enforce BIM standards, workflows, and quality control processes. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Technology, or related discipline — or equivalent field-based electrical construction experience. 5+ years of experience supporting electrical construction projects in BIM, VDC, or engineering roles. Demonstrated experience leading electrical coordination and constructability-driven modeling workflows. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Strong understanding of NEC requirements and field installation practices. Proven ability to mentor junior technical staff and manage workload priorities. PE License preferred but not required.
