We're looking for a Carrier Sales Manager who's ready to bring their expertise to one of the most exciting client portfolios in logistics. What You’ll Do Prospect, onboard, and cultivate carrier relationships across FTL, LTL, and specialty freight lanes Negotiate competitive rates and secure capacity for active and upcoming shipper needs Build and maintain a reliable carrier book with a focus on consistent service performance Analyze market conditions and lane-level capacity trends to proactively solve coverage gaps Collaborate with our sales team to align carrier sourcing with specific client requirements Monitor carrier performance metrics — on-time delivery, check calls, compliance — and hold partners accountable Leverage our TMS (Turvo) to manage loads, track shipments, and maintain accurate records Verify carrier compliance: insurance, authority, safety ratings, and DOT/FMCSA requirements Qualifications 2–4+ years in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or truckload capacity — you know the industry cold A proven carrier relationship builder who can pick up the phone, earn trust, and get trucks moving Strong negotiator with experience balancing rate competitiveness against service quality Self-starter who can identify and source capacity independently, not just work a lead list Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, small-team environment where you own your outcomes Working knowledge of TMS platforms (Turvo, TAI, or similar) Solid understanding of freight modes, BOLs, PODs, and carrier compliance requirements Strong communicator — responsive, direct, and professional with carriers and colleagues alike Bonus Points Existing carrier relationships in flatbed, van, or specialized equipment you can bring to AZL The Perks of Working With Us Achieve your financial goals through our competitive base salary and commission plan Take advantage of our comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, covered 100% by us.
