Overview We are seeking a dedicated Senior Center Program Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall supervision and oversight of the senior centers operated by the Agency by routinely commuting to Clarksville, Danville, Russellville, and Dardanelle regularly; aiding the Director of Finance and Contracted Services Specialist in managing financial and service reports for the Department of Human Services; ensuring the compliance standards set forth by the Older Americans Act are being met; overseeing the senior center employees; performs other administrative duties as assigned or required. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the supervision of all on-site employees and management of the day-to-day operations of the Senior Centers operated by AAA. Selection and hiring of qualified people to fill senior center vacancies. Ensuring on-site staff are clocking in/out properly through the timekeeping system and completing training as required. Ensures compliance with regulations governing program operation. Establishes methods and procedures for measuring and analyzing program costs as well as the achievement of set goals. Develops courses of action to insure maximum benefits from all services by senior clients as the least cost to the program. Prepares and maintains budgets for individual centers with assistance from the Director of Finance. Provides information necessary for preparation of monthly expenditure reports. Act as public relations person for the Senior Center, including attending meetings directly related to the funding or operations of the Center. Assist with the planning of menus Assist with the purchase of food and supplies as necessary and regularly check for inventory with senior center employees to ensure adequate supplies exist. Maintaining record-keeping system and compiling/submitting reports within required deadlines. Assures accurate accounting of senior center billing and services. Assist the Contracted Service Specialist in state and federal reporting. Responsible for keeping accurate deposit records of monies received weekly. Act as a fill-in for senior center employees as needed to ensure continued operations. Actively participates in Management Team meetings. Routinely travel to Danville, Dardanelle, Clarksville, and Russellville. Because the job is considered a safety-sensitive position, the employee in this position will be subject to unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing as permitted by law. Performs other administrative duties as assigned or required. REQUIREMENTS High School diploma plus one year of college or three years of experience in a business environment. Must be bondable. Good basic math skills Specific knowledge of the fundamentals of bookkeeping Ability to maintain neat and accurate records Ability to type with speed Effective communication skills-both oral and written Willingness and ability to work as a team member Ability to work independently Organizational skills Flexibility Understanding of data processing fundamentals and procedures Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch Must possess good computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to travel, have a good driving record, and have dependable transportation.
