Description Senior Civil Engineer (PE), Public Works & Local Infrastructure, Phoenix, AZ Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer, with their Arizona PE License, to be a Project Manager on our growing Public Works & Local Infrastructure team based out of our Phoenix, AZ office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 6 years of experience in Local Infrastructure, Public Works or Land Development. This position will have a large amount of autonomy in managing engineers-in-training and CAD designers. What will you do: Responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of public works, local infrastructure, municipal roadway, trails, drainage, and land development projects. Plans projects based on the analysis of relevant materials such as drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data. Uses design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs. Consults with and provides guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for construction of various designs, modifications, and repairs. Reports and presents plans to audiences with a wide range of backgrounds and technical knowledge, translating engineering and scientific information into easily digestible concepts. Estimates materials, equipment, and labor needed to determine project costs. Collaborates with surveyors (or directs and participates in surveying) to establish installations or reference points, grades, elevations, and other factors that will affect construction.
