About the Role Airbnb is hiring a Senior Consumer Insights Lead to serve as the dedicated insights partner for its Marketing organization. The role focuses on audience understanding, brand positioning, measurement, brand health tracking, and forward-looking trends and competitive intelligence. This position reports to the Head of Consumer Insights and leads a team of three direct reports. Responsibilities Partner with Marketing leadership as the go-to expert on the voice of the consumer. Embed consumer knowledge into strategies, briefs, and priorities from the earliest planning stages. Own and evolve Airbnb’s brand health tracking program, including measurement framework refinement and brand equity trend monitoring. Coach and support the direct report who owns Airbnb’s media measurement program. Lead the Trends & Competitive Intelligence team and set the strategic direction for cultural and competitive signal tracking. Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects, including focus groups, interviews, ethnographies, online communities, and surveys. Prepare and present concise, visually compelling research findings for senior stakeholders. Collaborate with the broader Research Team to synthesize workstreams, avoid silos, and identify gaps in consumer understanding. Qualifications 12+ years of consumer insights experience, with significant time in a marketing insights context. Experience supporting brand strategy, audience understanding, or marketing effectiveness. Deep expertise in brand health tracking, including equity, perception, and positioning metrics. Strong command of audience research and segmentation. Familiarity with media measurement approaches and connecting campaign performance to brand perception and consumer sentiment. Experience in trends and competitive intelligence. Expertise across qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including advanced analytic techniques and emerging tools such as AI-powered research methods. Demonstrated experience managing and developing individuals. Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: $212,000–$262,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. Actual base pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
