Job Description
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with teams across the organization to understand inventory activity and its impact on financial results while supporting process improvements with operations. Troubleshoot system issues with technology teams related to inventory costing and close activities and maintain accurate data flow. Calculate reserves for excess and obsolete items and support decisions by applying accounting guidance and materiality considerations. Coordinate month end close for all inventory and cost of goods sold activity and perform variance reviews on inventory and margin results. Lead audit related requests for inventory and cost information and identify opportunities to strengthen efficiency and reporting accuracy. Requirements A Bachelor degree from an accredited university with a focus in accounting or finance preferred. 4+ years of experience working with physical inventory and demonstrate a solid foundation in general accounting practices. Manage multiple priorities with strong organization and time management while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment. Use Microsoft Office with advanced ability in Excel including functions lookups pivots formulas and filters. Adapt well in changing environments and maintain a positive and energetic work style that supports strong relationships. Qualifications Understand inventory related accounting concepts and serve as a knowledgeable resource for financial reporting impacts. Analyze inventory movements and cost of goods sold trends and support clear explanations for fluctuations. Review and challenge existing processes and recommend improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency. Assist with system enhancements including familiarity with Oracle Fusion and the ability to write simple macros viewed as beneficial. Support ad hoc tasks and special projects while applying sound judgment and accounting knowledge to business decisions. REF#51917
