Role Brief: Senior Designer Engagement 30 hours/week, Monday-Friday, part time hours each day, W2 Fully remote, must work PST hours, local to Portland preferred 3- 6 months with possible extension Talent must provide their own laptop for this assignment Collaborates directly with our Design Director Agency context Our agency client is a small, senior, embedded brand and growth team. Their anchor client is a large sports tech company (13+ year relationship), with growing work in sports tech, performance, and outdoor categories. The hire complements our Design Director — not a junior to scale his hours, but a peer-level creative who can carry their own work end to end. Must-haves Senior-level designer (8+ years ideal) Expert in Figma (primary working environment) Strong across Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign at minimum) Portfolio showing brand and digital work — not just deliverables, but evidence of design thinking Strong pluses Sports marketing background, especially sports tech (Garmin, Strava, Zwift, Whoop, Peloton, Hyperice, Therabody, etc.) Endemic categories adjacent to that world: outdoor, performance, fitness, cycling Motion design / After Effects for light animation in social and digital Portland-based or PNW Nice-to-haves Experience working inside small senior teams or embedded agency models (vs. large agency pods) Comfort moving between brand systems work and campaign execution Some exposure to web/UI design in Figma (since our site rebuild and client digital work both lean that way)
