Job Description The Senior Director of Community Health provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for Inova Cares for Women programs across six clinic locations in Alexandria, Lansdowne, Falls Church, Herndon, Mount Vernon, and Dumfries. This leader is responsible for overseeing program operations, driving growth and performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing high-quality patient-centered care for the communities served. The Senior Director partners closely with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to support organizational goals, improve health outcomes, and strengthen access to women’s health services throughout the region. Inova Cares for Women provides comprehensive women’s healthcare services focused on improving access and outcomes for diverse patient populations across Northern Virginia. Key Responsibilities Provide operational leadership and oversight for multiple Community Health clinic locations and programs. Lead strategic business development initiatives aligned with division and organizational priorities. Direct financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and expense oversight. Monitor operational and financial performance to ensure programs meet or exceed established goals and revenue targets. Oversee quality improvement initiatives, outcomes management, and patient safety programs. Ensure compliance with all accrediting, regulatory, and legal standards. Partner with clinical leaders to support high-quality patient care delivery and positive population health outcomes. Coordinate the development and execution of long-term strategic plans and annual operating budgets. Lead, mentor, and develop professional staff through effective supervision, coaching, engagement, and performance management. Promote and represent Inova Community Health programs within the community and across the health system. Minimum Qualifications Masters Degree 6 years of healthcare experience 3 years of management experience in a healthcare setting Preferred Qualifications Progressive leadership experience overseeing ambulatory healthcare operations across multiple clinic locations. Demonstrated experience supporting and advancing women’s health services and programs. Experience working within healthcare environments serving Medicaid and underserved patient populations.
