Job Summary: The Senior Director of Operations will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the COO. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership for all manufacturing operations, supply chain, quality, machine shop, IT, safety and facilities functions. Responsibilities include driving a positive culture of employee engagement and continuous improvement (Lean), fully leveraging the company’s ERP system, overseeing the management of the supply chain and complex production schedules, and leading the development of strategic contract manufacturing partnerships in Taiwan to address production capacity constraints. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership & Partnership Development Develop and execute manufacturing strategies to meet company business objectives, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective production of electronic test systems. Lead the assessment, selection, and onboarding of contract manufacturers (CMs) in Taiwan to enhance production capacity and supply chain resilience. Drive a "one team" culture across production, supply chain, and support functions to achieve on-time delivery and profitability. Cultivate a high-performing, inclusive culture by championing employee engagement initiatives, fostering open communication, and building a positive, collaborative and accountable team environment. 2. Production & Operations Management Oversee the Production Departments and the internal Machine Shop to ensure throughput, efficiency, and quality goals are achieved. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to reduce waste and optimize production efficiency. Achieve "level loading" of production to stabilize workflows, optimize capacity utilization, and reduce bottlenecks. 3. Supply Chain, IT, Safety and Facilities Lead the end-to-end supply chain team, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, to improve inventory accuracy and turnover and ensure material availability. Oversee master scheduling, ensuring alignment between demand planning, materials availability, and production capacity. Direct the IT Department, ensuring a robust operational infrastructure, cybersecurity protocols, and an effective business continuity and disaster recovery plan are in place. Champion a proactive safety culture by setting strategic goals, ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, and directly oversee the safety and facilities team to ensure a safe, secure and compliant work environment. 4. Quality, Performance & ERP Utilization Direct best-in-class product quality by leveraging our QMS and ensuring quality is built in at every step of the production cycle in order to exceed our customers’ quality requirements. Drive ERP optimization from order to cash, maximizing efficiencies and minimizing costs across all operational functions. Ensure data integrity in order to enhance the business decision-making process and support the business growth. Define, measure, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the COO, including OEE, first-pass yield, cycle time, and cost per unit, etc. Manage department budgets and COGS (Cost of Goods Sold), identifying opportunities for margin expansion. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred). Experience: 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a similar, high-precision, capital equipment industry (semiconductor preferred). International Experience: Proven experience developing and managing contract manufacturing partnerships, specifically in Asia (Taiwan preferred). Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, ERP systems, and supply chain management. Leadership: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams, with experience managing multiple, diverse functions. Travel: Ability to travel internationally and d
