I. Position Overview The Senior Director of Project Management is responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of the company's major projects and project management framework. This role coordinates cross-departmental resources to ensure that strategic-level projects are successfully delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Typically reporting directly to the senior management team, this position serves as a pivotal management role bridging strategic objectives with business execution. II. Key Responsibilities Project Strategy and Management System Development Develop and refine the company's project management policies, processes, and standards framework. Establish project governance mechanisms. Drive the digitalization, standardization, and formalization of project management practices. Establish management mechanisms for the PMO (Project Management Office). Strategic-Level Project Coordination and Management Oversee the management of the company's key projects, complex initiatives, or large-scale project portfolios. Formulate overall project plans, define milestones, and develop resource allocation strategies. Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and risk control measures. Ensure project alignment with the company's strategic objectives. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Resource Integration Coordinate efforts across R&D, Product, Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other teams. Resolve resource conflicts and organizational impediments encountered in major projects. Promote efficient communication and decision-making mechanisms. Risk and Quality Management Establish early-warning mechanisms for project risks. Lead the escalation and resolution of critical issues, as well as emergency response efforts. Drive project post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives. Team Management and Talent Development Build and manage the project management team. Mentor Project Managers and cultivate a pipeline of future management talent. Establish mechanisms for performance evaluation and capability enhancement. Executive Reporting and Client Management Report project progress to the CEO, COO, or Management Committee. Serve as the key executive liaison in critical client-facing projects. Maintain and nurture relationships with key business partners. III. Job Qualifications Educational Background Bachelor's degree or higher. Majors in Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, MBA, or related fields are preferred. Work Experience 20+ years of experience in project management. 5+ years of experience in managing large teams. Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects or project portfolios. Experience in the Internet, Manufacturing, IT, Finance, or Consulting sectors is preferred. Professional Competencies Proficiency in project management methodologies, such as: PMP Agile/Scrum PRINCE2 IPD, etc. Familiarity with project budgeting and business analysis. Exceptional capabilities in risk control. Strong strategic thinking and organizational coordination skills. Management Capabilities Leadership and influence. Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives. Decision-making capabilities. Problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments. Bonus Qualifications Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, ACP, etc. Experience with international projects. Experience in establishing or managing a PMO. Experience with digital transformation projects.
