Job Purpose Establishes strategic vision, direction, and integration to programs centered on lasting change, including housing, recovery, outreach, and community restoration initiatives such as the Good Neighbor Village, ensuring alignment with TRM’s mission, values, and organizational priorities. Additional Information The Senior Director of Transformational Programs provides leadership to programs centered on lasting life change, including recovery, outreach, and community restoration initiatives such as Good Neighbor Village. Because of the nature of this role, the successful candidate should be able to thoughtfully articulate and lead within a philosophy of transformation that aligns with the mission, values, and faith-informed approach of Tacoma Rescue Mission. This executive role requires a leader who can authentically champion Tacoma Rescue Mission’s Christ-centered mission and guide transformational programs in alignment with the organization’s Christian values. Duties & Responsibilities Oversees the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of outreach strategies, including street outreach, engagement pathways, and coordination with internal programs and external partners to ensure effective connection from first contact to services. Provides strategic leadership for the development, launch, and eventual operations of the Good Neighbor Village (GNV), establishing operational models, guiding site activation, aligning internal resources, and ensuring readiness for phased occupancy and service delivery. Leads the design and buildout of GNV program infrastructure, including staffing models, recruiting and developing teams, establishing site policies and procedures, and creating team culture and sustainable operational systems to support longer-term success. Cultivates and maintains strategic relationships with government entities, community organizations, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups to strengthen outreach efforts and program impact. Directs the design and alignment of a cohesive continuum of care that connects outreach, recovery, shelter, and housing services, ensuring clear pathways for client progression and long-term stability. Leads cross-functional teams in housing, recovery, outreach and related services, ensuring capacity and accountability at all levels. Facilitates meetings involving a range of issues and identifies and implements appropriate actions. Establishes and oversees the administration of systems for measuring program outcomes; utilizing data to evaluate effectiveness, inform decision-making, identify trends, report key metrics, and drive continuous improvement. Directs compliance and regulatory oversight of programs in accordance with federal, state, and location regulations, funding requirements, and contractual obligations. Supervises personnel (e.g., provide coaching and consultation on technical issues and adaptive challenges, professional development, strategic goals, job performance, etc.), ensuring ongoing support and development of effective leaders and high performing teams. Oversees program budgets; ensures responsible resource allocation aligned with organizational priorities, financial guidelines, and funding requirements.
