The Building Technologies division has provided Commissioning, Retro-Commissioning, Monitoring-Based Commissioning and Energy Audits to clients nationwide and internationally for over 28 years. NV5 is currently seeking a Senior-Level Electrical Engineer for in the Arlington, Virginia office to lead and support a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with an understanding of building MEP systems design, operation, commissioning, and construction. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of hands-on experience in electrical systems commissioning and construction oversight across various facility types, owner groups, and project scales-from small commercial buildings to complex institutional and government facilities. Responsibilities Work with other Senior Commissioning Engineers and Project Managers (PM) for technical review and guidance and assist in the development and mentorship of Junior Commissioning Engineers. Using prescribed methods, and/or working from standard documents, perform specific and daily assignments. Apply standard practices and techniques in situations, adjusts and gathers data, and follows operations through a series of related steps or processes, including, but not limited to: Lead commissioning efforts for electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, and controls across a wide variety of project types.
