Job Description
Senior Employment Litigation Attorney(Hybrid) Overview We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Employment Attorney to serve as a strategic advisor across all areas of labor and employment law. This individual will play a critical role in guiding leadership through complex workforce matters while balancing legal risk with business objectives. The position offers high visibility and direct interaction with executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary legal advisor on employment-related matters, including employee relations, terminations, workplace investigations, and policy development Partner closely with HR and executive leadership to proactively manage risk and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Lead and oversee internal investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace concerns Provide counsel on wage and hour compliance, classification issues, and multi-state employment matters Draft, review, and update employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and separation agreements Manage outside counsel on employment litigation and administrative claims, including strategy, budgeting, and resolution Advise on organizational changes such as restructurings, reductions in force, and integration efforts Support training initiatives for managers and employees on employment law best practices and risk mitigation Stay ahead of evolving employment laws and provide actionable guidance to business leaders Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing 6+ years of experience in employment law (law firm or in-house) Strong experience handling complex employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice Experience supporting multi-state or national organizations preferred Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels What Sets This Role Apart Direct exposure to executive decision-making and business strategy Opportunity to build and refine employment practices within a growing organization Collaborative environment with cross-functional partnership across HR, Finance, and Operations High-impact role with the ability to shape policy, culture, and risk strategy Compensation Competitive base salary with bonus and benefits, commensurate with experience.
