Senior Environmental & Air Permitting Manager (Leadership Role) Marietta, GA (Preferred) | ~20% Travel | Day Shift (8 AM – 5 PM) Compensation & Perks Salary: Up to $160,000 (flexible for exceptional candidates) Bonus: 4–8% target PTO: 3 weeks + 1 extra week accrued annually (up to 3 additional weeks) Relocation: Supported (Atlanta area strongly preferred) The Opportunity Step into a high-impact leadership role where you’ll bridge the gap between clients and engineering teams , ensuring organizations across the U.S. stay compliant with environmental regulations—especially under the Clean Air Act . You’ll lead a team of talented environmental engineers, shape compliance strategy, and directly influence major industrial clients. This is more than a technical role—it’s a strategic, client-facing leadership position with real influence. What You’ll Do Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 environmental engineers per project Oversee air permitting compliance (Title V, PSD, NESHAP, emissions inventories, etc.) Guide projects involving air, water, and waste regulations Serve as the key liaison between clients and internal engineering teams Interpret environmental data and drive strategic compliance decisions Manage multiple client accounts, proposals, and project deliverables Ensure timely, high-quality submissions: permit applications, SWPPP, SPCC, Tier II, TRI, RMP, and more Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders Champion team growth, performance management, and continuous improvement Help drive operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering (required) 10+ years in environmental compliance consulting (Open to 6+ years with strong leadership experience) 2+ years of leadership experience preferred Deep expertise in air permitting under the Clean Air Act Proven experience working with multiple clients in a consulting environment Strong knowledge of: Emissions calculations (AP-42, mass balance, engineering judgment) Title V, NSPS, NESHAP, PSD regulations Ability to own projects end-to-end and manage competing priorities Excellent communication, technical writing, and client-facing skills Professional certification ( PE, CHMM, or similar ) required or strongly preferred What Sets You Apart Experience with air dispersion modeling Strong project management skills (PMP a plus) Ability to translate complex regulations into practical, cost-effective solutions Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams Why This Role?
