JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Finance Associate will support the preparation and maintenance of detailed financial models and forecasts for homebuilders, land development projects, and special purpose entities (SPEs). This role is responsible for assisting in the development of 13-week cash flow forecasts, annual operating budgets, and 5-year business plans across multiple projects and entities. The position requires strong Excel modeling skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of construction and land development cash flow dynamics. The role will work closely with senior leadership to support strategic planning, liquidity management, and project-level financial analysis. This position requires strong financial modeling skills, an understanding of real estate development cycles, and the ability to provide meaningful insights to senior leadership and external stakeholders. The position is client facing so will require a solid and inspiring communicator. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Modeling & Forecast Support Assist in building and updating 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts Support financial models for: Land acquisition and development Vertical construction Sales and settlement timing Maintain and update model assumptions and data inputs Ensure consistency and accuracy across models Budgeting & Long-Range Planning Support preparation of annual budgets across multiple entities Assist in building 5-year business plans and forecasts Update assumptions related to: construction timelines sales pace cost escalation financing structures Cash Flow & Reporting Maintain weekly cash flow reporting schedules Track forecast vs actual variances Assist in identifying potential liquidity risks Prepare supporting schedules and reporting for management Data Management & Analysis Maintain clean and organized datasets for modeling Reconcile financial data across multiple sources Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting SKILLS / COMPETENCIES: Experience Minimum of 3 years of Experience: Financial analysis or FP&A Real estate development or homebuilding Financial modeling or project finance Technical Skills Advanced Excel skills, including: Dynamic models, structured references Index/Match/XLOOKUP Data tables, sensitivities What-if and scenario modeling Strong understanding of: Construction draws cycles Land development budgeting Revenue recognition models (e.g., home closings, lot sales) SPE / project-level financing structures Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple concurrent projects.
