Job#: 3033740 Job Description: The Senior Financial Analyst - Controlling plays a critical role in credit risk forecasting, IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) analytics, and financial performance reporting. This role supports retail, lease, and dealer portfolios by ensuring accurate measurement, forecasting, and reporting of credit risk across monthly close, planning cycles, and strategic initiatives. This position blends deep credit risk expertise with advanced analytics and financial controlling to assess portfolio performance, support provisioning and pricing decisions, and deliver clear, actionable insights to senior leadership and global stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in credit risk and loss forecasting, along with hands-on analytical skills using tools such as SAS, SQL, and/or Python. Key Responsibilities Financial & Credit Risk Reporting (?30%) Prepare, validate, and analyze monthly credit risk performance reporting, including IFRS 9 ECL movements, delinquency trends, loss performance, and key risk KPIs. Produce and post credit-related journal entries, including ECL adjustments, portfolio reclassifications, match-funded interest, and other risk-related accounting items. Perform monthly yield analysis and evaluate risk-adjusted portfolio performance. Consolidate and deliver accurate reporting packages to senior leadership and global stakeholders. Forecasting & IFRS 9 ECL Support (?30%) Lead the development of monthly credit loss forecasts, incorporating IFRS 9 staging (Stages 1-3), macroeconomic inputs, portfolio behavior, and model outputs. Support annual and operational planning cycles by updating risk drivers, balance-sheet impacts, and income-statement provisioning. Prepare executive-level materials, including portfolio trend analyses, EBIT walk analyses, and forecasting presentations. Provide portfolio-level credit risk forecasts to Controlling, Tax, and global finance partners. Pricing & Credit Risk Oversight (?30%) Partner closely with pricing and modeling teams to ensure credit risk assumptions are accurately reflected in consumer and dealer pricing models. Validate loss expectations, acquisition risk profiles, margin assumptions, and risk-adjusted returns. Ensure pricing strategies align with overall risk appetite, profitability objectives, and portfolio strategy. Special Projects & Risk Initiatives (?10%) Support ad-hoc analyses and strategic initiatives related to credit performance, portfolio trends, ECL methodology enhancements, and data quality improvements. Collaborate cross-functionally with Risk, Modeling, Controlling, and global teams on credit-related projects and initiatives. Decision Making & Influence Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and credibility of all credit risk forecasts and financial reporting with direct EBIT impact. Manage timelines and deliverables for critical reporting and forecasting processes. Influence credit risk assumptions used across pricing, forecasting, and portfolio strategy decisions. Required Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field Preferred: Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration Preferred Certification: CPA (or progress toward CPA) Experience 5+ years of experience in Finance, Credit Risk, Risk Management, FP&A, or related analytical roles Strong hands-on experience with IFRS 9 ECL methodology, including PD/LGD/EAD concepts, staging, and credit loss forecasting Experience supporting retail auto, lease, and/or dealer lending portfolios strongly preferred Automotive or captive finance experience is highly desirable Technical Skills Strong proficiency in SQL (required); experience with SAS and/or Python strongly preferred Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills Experience working with data warehouse environments; SAP, Essbase, or Cognos experience is a plus Proven ability to extract, validate, and integrate data across multiple systems Core Competencies Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills Ability to translate complex credit risk data into clear insights and actionable recommendations Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including executive-level communication High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in an expert indi
