Senior Geotechnical Engineer (6–8 Years Experience) About the Opportunity DIHO Consulting USA is supporting a leading geosciences consulting firm in the Gulf Coast region. We are actively recruiting Senior Geotechnical Engineers (6–8 years of experience) to join teams across Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Beaumont. These full-time positions offer continued professional growth within a collaborative and technically strong environment, with opportunities to take on increasing project responsibilities over time. Compensation is competitive and based on experience, technical expertise, and licensure. Relocation assistance is available. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred or expected to be obtained within 12 months of hire. This role combines hands-on engineering, technical analysis, field coordination, and growing project management responsibilities, with mentorship from senior staff and opportunities to guide junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Technical Execution Perform geotechnical engineering analyses, including shallow and deep foundation design, slope stability, settlement analysis, and earthwork evaluations . Interpret field exploration data and laboratory test results to develop practical geotechnical recommendations . Assist in planning and coordinating subsurface investigations (drilling, sampling, and testing programs). Prepare and contribute to technical reports, proposals, and design deliverables . Produce calculations, preliminary quantities, and final design documentation . Utilize geotechnical and design software tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, slope stability and seepage software). Project Coordination & Delivery Support the management of geotechnical projects from mobilization through completion . Assist in maintaining project scope, schedule, and budget alignment. Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders. Contribute to proposal development and technical documentation efforts. Team Collaboration & Development Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and construction professionals. Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and staff , particularly in design processes and report preparation. Coordinate laboratory testing assignments and review results. Contribute to a positive, accountable, and high-performing team environment. Client Interaction Support client relationships by helping manage expectations and responding to technical inquiries. Participate in meetings and discussions with clients alongside senior engineers. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related field). Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred. 6–8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, including both field and office work. Strong technical report writing and documentation skills. Working knowledge of geotechnical engineering software and tools. Experience with foundation design, slope stability, and subsurface investigations . Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Pro
