As a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Field Engineer , you'll be the person who bridges design and reality-keeping instrumentation and SIS work aligned, safe, and done right at a chemical manufacturing site. Senior Instrumentation & Controls Field Engineer (SIS) Location: Luling, LA Job Type: Temp-to-Hire (W2) Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $60.00 - $65.00/hour (67.00/hour) neg Position Overview Provide field-based instrumentation and functional safety engineering support Support capital and sustaining projects in a chemical manufacturing environment Serve as a field engineer during construction, commissioning, and startup Support Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and functional safety initiatives Key Responsibilities Support instrumentation design and specification activities Perform instrument selection and control valve specification Develop and update instrument specification sheets, loop sheets, and wiring diagrams Review and mark up P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings Prepare cable schedules, instrument indices, and material takeoffs Perform field walks to assess existing instrumentation and site conditions Support construction activities through field engineering and contractor oversight Perform QA/QC to ensure installations meet design, safety, and quality requirements
