Position Overview The Senior Manager, Cultural Event Production is the operational and execution leader for Faena Rose's year-round program of 80+ cultural events. Programming strategy and headline talent selection are owned by the President & Co-Founder. This role is responsible for translating that vision into flawlessly executed, on-budget, patron-loved events — and for sourcing and producing smaller-scale local programming (artist & gallery studio visits, local venues for social mixers, intimate cultural moments) in which the Co-Founder & President need not be directly involved. This is a hands-on production leadership role for someone who treats execution as a craft, is in the room at every event, manages a team of 3 event managers and freelance production staff, and is energized by raising the standard event after event. REPORTING STRUCTURE & KEY PARTNERSHIPS Reports to: General Manager Direct reports: 3 Event Managers / Production Associates, plus contracted project managers and freelance production staff Key partnerships: Co-Founder & President (programming direction and headline talent), Member Relations, Marketing, Membership Sales, Financial Controller, Faena Hotel banquets and operational teams. Duties And Responsibilities Event Production & Execution Lead end-to-end production of 80+ cultural events per year — from intimate dinners, screenings, and salons to key cultural moments and signature original programming formats, including Roses & Thorns and Faena Rose Rumble. Translate creative direction from the Co-Founder & President into detailed production plans, run-of-show, vendor scopes, floor plans, and on-the-ground execution. Own the full talent acquisition process from selection forward. Once the Co-Founder & President identifies and confirms talent, you own everything required moving forward: contracting and negotiation, riders, holds, scheduling, travel, accommodations, car service, hospitality, and on-site experience. Create and route Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), floor plans, run-of-show, and other production documentation for approval. Manage event load-in, on-site execution, and load-out. Be physically present at every event unless approved by the GM. Prepare and distribute post-event talent thank-you gifts, recap notes, and production folder close-out within 48 business hours of each event. Local Programming Ideation Source, propose, and execute smaller-scale local programming — artist & gallery studio visits, local venues for social mixers, intimate cultural moments. Build and maintain a working knowledge of Miami's cultural ecosystem: artists, galleries, chefs, performers, and venues that align with the Faena Rose community. Bring 2-3 local programming ideas per month to the Co-Founder & President for approval, with clear scope, cost, and patron fit. Skills Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage up to a dozen events in production simultaneously. This is a high-volume, high-pressure operation. Excellent written and verbal communication. Able to collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, vendors, talent, and Faena Hotel partners. Skilled in building and managing production timelines, run-of-show documents, BEOs, and floor plans. Financially literate. Comfortable with budgets, reconciliations, and live spend tracking. Calm and solutions-oriented under pressure. Ensures smooth execution of events with audiences ranging from 20 to 400. Deep curiosity for art, culture, and current events that enhance programming and member experience. Familiarity with the hospitality industry; luxury hotel event experience strongly preferred. Self-motivated, reliable, professional, hardworking, and a true team player. Creative and flexible with strong problem-solving skills.
