About MLV DC MLV DC will compete as one of three expansion teams in the 2027 season and deliver women’s professional volleyball, one of the fastest growing sports, to the nation’s capital. Anchored in strong regional youth participation, abundant collegiate talent, and an avid local sports fanbase, the franchise will strengthen the major-league footprint of the District and cement it as the Sports Capital. All United Sports and Entertainment (AUSE), led by CEO Jason Levien, adds the team to its robust roster which also includes DC United and DC Power. About the Role The Senior Manager, Marketing is poised to catapult an emerging brand into the local sports and entertainment landscape and national women’s sports ecosystem. To be successful in the role requires a nimble approach to simultaneously design and deliver content, partnerships, and events. Key indicators of success include brand awareness, audience acquisition and retention, digital channel engagement, and ticket and merchandise sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of not only content and channel strategy but also match day experience and operations. Reporting to the Team President, the Senior Manager will work closely with team leadership, cross-functional colleagues within and across the broader AUSE organization, and league counterparts to lead all marketing activity for the team. Responsibilities Include: Develop and be accountable for a year-round tactical marketing plan that includes brand building, tentpole announcements, promotional sales campaigns, fan engagement, and grassroots club and community initiatives Manage all digital channels – inclusive of website, social, email, and paid media – drafting copy, procuring visual and creative assets, and publishing content Partner with Creative Director and Communications Director for seamless storytelling and brand positioning Become the expert and effectively engage with key stakeholders including all consumer audience segments, corporate and strategic partners, municipal and community groups, other local pro sports teams, national and local influencers, and leading voices in women’s sports Plan and staff all local events and engagements, recruiting and managing street teams and brand ambassadors as needed Oversee match day planning and production, managing event logistics, production timelines, run of show (including scripts, graphics packages, etc.), and on-site staff to deliver a compelling fan experience Serve as primary liaison with playing venue staff, production partners, and match day talent to ensure clear communication and alignment across all parties Manage marketing and game presentation budget to monitor expenditures, report accurately, and process invoices in a timely manner Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of marketing management experience in sports or live entertainment Experience crafting holistic marketing plans that align with overall business goals Proven track record of delivering measurable campaigns, promotions, and events Strong understanding of the DMV market and sports landscape as well as the women’s sports ecosystem that translates into fan engagement strategies Self motivated and proactive communicator with the ability to adeptly manage the flow of all relationships and workstreams Strong organization and time management skills to meet near-term deliverables, stay on track with long-term plans, react to new opportunities, and anticipate challenges Service mentality delivered through high-touch stakeholder communication Enthusiasm for creative thinking that translates into actionable plans Natural and dynamic sales, presentation, and communication skills Excellent teammate who can collaborate without ego and be flexible to change Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high volume of tasks and deliverables Other duties relevant to growing the business Additional Details: Based in Washington, DC working primarily out of Audi Field and home playing venue Expected to work all home matches and team events Ability to
