Job Description
We are currently hiring a Senior Manager of Revenue Cycle Operations for a healthcare technology company in New York City. This role is designed for an operational leader who enjoys building systems from scratch and collaborating with product teams to integrate AI and automation into traditional RCM workflows. Core Responsibilities Team Scaling & Leadership: Build and manage internal and offshore RCM teams, maintaining accountability for all KPIs and SLAs. Operational Architecture: Develop and refine processes for manual billing and collection workflows to ensure accuracy and speed while automation is being developed. Data Analysis & Reporting: Own reporting for denial rates, first-pass resolution, A/R aging, cost-to-collect, and net collection rates; use these metrics to drive operational changes. Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, translating performance data into clear operational insights and forward-looking strategies. AI & Product Partnership: Monitor the performance of AI agents (calling, portals, and denials); collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and provide feedback for platform enhancements. Automation Strategy: Identify manual friction points and work alongside engineers to layer in automation features based on real-world workflow data. Required Qualifications Experience: 7+ years in healthcare RCM, including at least 3 years leading teams of 15 or more. Operational Growth: A background in building RCM functions from the ground up, rather than managing established, mature organizations. Offshore Management: Direct experience managing offshore billing or A/R teams. Preferred Skills Technical Literacy: High comfort level working with data sets and collaborating with engineering teams. Adaptability: The ability to move quickly and take ownership within an early-stage, fast-moving environment. Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying payer trends and surface-level issues before they impact the bottom line.
