Senior Manager – SAP Architect (S/4HANA) Overview The Senior Manager – SAP Architect (S/4HANA) is responsible for leading the design, strategy, and execution of SAP solutions with a strong focus on S/4HANA transformation initiatives . This role ensures that SAP architecture aligns with business objectives, supports innovation, and enables scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise systems. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision . Key Responsibilities SAP & S/4HANA Strategy Define and lead the SAP S/4HANA roadmap , including greenfield, brownfield, or hybrid transformation strategies Align SAP architecture with enterprise IT strategy and business goals Provide thought leadership on S/4HANA, SAP BTP, RISE with SAP, and cloud adoption Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and digital transformation Architecture & Solution Design Lead end-to-end SAP architecture design across S/4HANA and integrated environments Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, etc.) Define and enforce architecture standards, governance, and best practices Oversee system integration strategies using SAP BTP, CPI, APIs, and middleware tools Program Leadership & Delivery Provide architectural leadership for large-scale S/4HANA implementations and upgrades Collaborate with program/project managers to ensure successful delivery Manage technical risks, dependencies, and solution complexities Ensure adherence to scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards Stakeholder Engagement Act as a trusted advisor to business executives and IT leadership Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions Present architecture designs and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders Build strong partnerships across business units and IT teams Governance, Risk & Compliance Establish and enforce SAP architecture governance frameworks Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy requirements Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards Integration & Ecosystem Management Oversee integration of SAP S/4HANA with non-SAP systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications Drive adoption of modern integration approaches such as event-driven architecture, APIs, and microservices Ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop SAP architects, functional and technical teams Build a high-performing team focused on innovation and continuous improvement Manage external vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 12+ years of SAP experience, including: 5+ years in SAP architecture or leadership roles Hands-on experience with S/4HANA implementations or migrations Deep expertise in SAP modules and platforms Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks Key Skills Expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and migration strategies Strong knowledge of SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, integration tools (CPI, PI/PO) Leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making Excellent communication and stakeholder management Risk management and problem-solving Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices Preferred Qualifications SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Solution Architect – S/4HANA ) TOGAF or enterprise architecture certification Experience with RISE with SAP and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) Industry experience (manufacturing, retail, healthcare, finance, etc.)
