Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Discover Impactful Work: Reporting directly to the Manager, Supply Chain, the Manufacturing Planner is responsible for end-to-end supply planning and execution of finished goods across a network of internal manufacturing sites and external manufacturing partners, ensuring products are produced and delivered to meet global demand. This role is based in Detroit, and in support of our Biologicals and Chemicals Division where we manufacture animal origin peptones and serve a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets. This role serves as a key link across the manufacturing network, driving supply performance, resolving constraints, and ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and business objectives. The position requires a high degree of ownership, independent decision-making, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. Join a team that makes an impact every day. A Day In The Life Own end-to-end planning and execution of finished goods across internal manufacturing sites and external manufacturing partners to meet global demand Coordinate production planning activities across the manufacturing network to ensure an aligned and executable supply plan Partner with internal Operations teams and external manufacturing partners to manage production schedules, priorities, and performance Collaborate with manufacturing planners, material planners, schedulers, and Operations to align production schedules, material availability, and capacity with the supply plan Translate demand signals into executable supply plans, balancing service, inventory, and cost across regions Drive resolution of supply disruptions, capacity constraints, and execution gaps across the manufacturing network Monitor and improve key performance metrics including OTIF, inventory, and schedule adherence Prepare and present supply plans, risks, and performance updates to site and divisional leadership Maintain ERP master data and planning parameters within Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (or comparable systems) Optimize inventory strategies and working capital across the product portfolio Identify root causes of performance issues and lead corrective and preventive actions Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes and collaboration across the supply network Support cross-functional initiatives and projects impacting supply chain performance Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory, and company policies and procedures Keys to Success Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Technical discipline, or equivalent experience Experience Minimum of 5+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, or operations Experience supporting manufacturing environments (internal and/or external) preferred Experience with integrated planning systems and processes Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, SAP, or comparable systems Experience presenting to and influencing site and/or divisional leadership Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI Excellent communication and influencing skills across cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities Strong business acumen with understanding of supply chain trade-offs (service, cost, inventory) Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, multi-site environment Familiarity with batch manufacturing environments preferred Professional certifications (APICS, NPM, etc.) preferred Project management experience is a plus Physical Requirements / Work Environment Primarily office-based work environment with standard computer and communication activities Compensation And Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in Michigan is $75,800.00–$113,675.00.
