This position offers the opportunity to influence the planning, analysis, design, rehabilitation, and construction of critical infrastructure with long-term environmental and societal impact. As a senior member of Kiewit's Marine and Coastal Resiliency (MCR) team, you will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, construction partners, and clients to deliver high-quality, constructible designs. The role combines deep technical involvement in marine structural engineering, including berthing and mooring analysis and the design of bulkheads, docks, piers, and related waterfront structures, with project leadership, business development, and the strategic growth of the MCR practice. Location This position could be based out of our Manhattan, NY OR Woodcliff Lake, NJ Offices Position could qualify for more flexible remote work based on the candidate experience. Responsibilities Technical & Project Leadership Serve as a senior marine structural technical resource on port, marine, waterfront, and coastal resiliency projects, commensurate with experience. Lead structural analysis and design for waterfront and marine infrastructure such as piers, wharves, bulkheads, docks, seawalls, marinas, ferry terminals, fender systems, and related coastal structures. Perform and review berthing and mooring analyses and develop design solutions for mooring systems, berthing structures, caissons, pile-supported structures, retaining systems, and related marine infrastructure. Prepare and review structural calculations, technical reports, design packages, plans, details, and specifications for reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel, timber, foundation, and retaining structure elements as applicable. Act as project engineer or deputy design manager on select projects, supporting integrated delivery with structural, hydraulic, geotechnical, and construction disciplines. Support project teams in resolving technical and logistical challenges, including constructability issues, non-conformities, and technical claims, and contribute to technical risk identification and mitigation during pursuits and project execu
