The Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) organization within the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) Sub-Strategic Business Unit is seeking a Senior Material Program Manager to lead Supply Chain Growth and Strategy activities for the Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) portfolio. NGSRI is a fast‑paced, critical competitive effort, and this role will lead supply chain strategy within a matrixed cross-functional team while navigating a dynamic and highly complex environment. The Senior Material Program Manager is responsible for shaping, executing, and integrating SC strategies across areas of growth, proposal development, prototyping, and Transition to Production (TTP) programs — including preparation for Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP). This position requires strong leadership, strategic foresight, and the ability to influence program objectives across multiple product lines and functions without direct oversight. What You Will Do Own SC proposal, growth, and strategy development through TTP, ensuring successful capture and profitability of future NGSRI business. Collaborate with Program Leadership Team, POMs and MPMs supporting the NGSRI portfolio, ensuring effective integration into execution strategies. Execute SC proposal development, including task descriptions, BOEs, IMS and standard structure development, supplier strategies, and other strategic initiatives. Lead make/where plans, ensuring best source of supply to maintain affordability and capacity throughout the program lifecycle. Act as primary SC interface with program customers, peers, and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and high service standards. Develop and coordinate SC inputs for gate reviews and execute approved strategies. Provide overall leadership of the supplier management process from RFP to purchase order execution. Support capital planning, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and long‑range planning activities. Demonstrate strong business acumen in managing budget, schedule, and resource plans. Deliver clear verbal and visual presentations to internal stakeholders and U.S. Government customers. Participate in TDP reviews and approvals using common PDM systems. Drive cross‑functional collaboration to remove barriers, align teams, and achieve program objectives. Develop competitive bids and proposals in partnership with manufacturing and functional organizations. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience. Experience leading teams in a matrixed organization. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
